Abstract

There are situations in which the gap between the person who knows and the person who does not know is so big that the questions of the one who doesn’t know appear to be stupid. For these situations, we need a ›populist turn‹. This ›populist turn‹, however, would look for answers not from the point of view of the one who knows, but from that of stupidity, ignorance and populism. This paper will outline the methods and the possibilities available to such a ›turn‹, relying on a theoretical basis provided by Bourdieu, Rancière, Mouffe, Laclau, und Adorno.
